FOR ME 36 YEARS LATER......... Print E-mail

Just 36 years ago I saw Elvis live on stage. The date was november 10,1971. The largest crowd ever in Boston for a concert. The place was packed and even the walking lanes around the Boston Garden was filled with wheel chairs. If there was a fire most the fans would of had a BIG problem with the wheel chairs blocking the main exits with people seated in them. But this did not stop the show or how the fans just went wild when Elvis came on stage. Everyone screamed all through the concert. So hearing Elvis sing even a note was even a bigger problem. Never before and even today have I seen a crowd like this. I my self was seated just two chairs from the side of the stage and watch Elvis walk back and go to the other side of the stage over and over throughout the concert. Elvis just loved the crowd and tried to greet everyone that was near the stage. If they yell from higher above Elvis would wave and let the fans know that he saw them also. The biggest problem was the flash bulbs going off. everywhere you could look. To see everyone in the Boston Garden with camras and the flash bulbs going off over and over was part of the excitement. Over 35 thousand fans rock Boston is what the news papers said the nexts day. Everyone knew that if there was even a standing spot in the Boston Garden it was taken with a Elvis fan. The Boston Garden only has seats for 33 thousand. This may explan way it took over an hour just from the first floor to get out of the Boston Garden. This may also explan the larger crowd sound in the Boston Garden also. And most of all this might explan why this was the one show of all shows that Elvis could see how the fans just loved him so.......

After a few days passed I started performing again with my band at the time and knew from the time I lefted the Boston Garden back in November 10, 1971 that I would not only be a BIG Elvis fan but would impersonate Elvis and make sure Elvis would say forever in our hearts.
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

To all the Elvis fans everywhere!

Until next year,
